ABOUT US

At herEthical.AI, we are an artificial intelligence consultancy that specialises in providing guidance and practical machine learning help to the police and third sector organisations. Our focus is on reducing intimate partner crime and gender-based violence. Our team of experts has extensive criminological knowledge and practical experience in developing AI solutions. We develop bespoke products, guide you through the requirements and design stages, and help train your in-house staff. 

Our team of founders comes from a variety of backgrounds, providing a diversity of views and approaches. 

Tamara Polajnar is a computer scientist with over 20 years of experience in AI subfields of Natural Language Processing and Machine learning. Currently volunteering as the editor of ML in Policing.

Hazel Sayer is a qualitative research expert with superb interviewing, research, and analysis skills and a background in assisting police with understanding VAWG including through Operation Bluestone Soteria. 

Ruth Spence is a research psychologist and an experienced researcher in trauma, based at Middlesex University, with previous experience on Bluestone Soteria and as the PI in charge of production of RUDI, practical guide for ethical development of ML in Policing.

Anthony Joslin is a retired Inspector from Devon and Cornwall Police with over 30 years of practical policing experience and a passion for producing a police force that is up keeping up with the fantastical pace of innovation.
